DBTS Ownership Changes

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Effective 1 April 2006, DBTS, Inc announced the transfer of company ownership to the Vice President, Karla Gonzalez. After more than five years of ownership, Carrie-Ann Barrow decided to pursue personal goals and sell DBTS to the employee who has successfully run the company for the last two years and demonstrated a deep commitment to both employees and clients.

Since its founding in April 2000, DBTS has experienced rapid growth. DBTS started out with one employee performing network management services for the District of Columbia Government. The company quickly gained a reputation for excellence serving the District and other federal, state, and local government clients. Today, the company includes 45 employees and has earned $8.3 million in annual revenue in 2005 alone – a 30% increase since 2004. Karla Gonzalez has been a driving force behind this growth and the continued success of the company. As Vice President since 2003, she has effectively operated the company and spearheaded business development efforts.

As the new President & CEO, Karla Gonzalez is committed to the continuous improvement of all of DBTS’ activities, using its Quality Operating approach as a framework. Additionally, DBTS will strive to attract, train, develop, and retain the best employees available anywhere, with the goal to become an "employer of choice" and to be recognized by their customers and suppliers as the "best" at what we do for them.

The change in ownership creates many opportunities for DBTS and its employees. DBTS is in the process of obtaining minority status.
